Cara Delevingne: I fucked Rita up the bum
Cara may have fell out with “wifey” Rita over that disastrous DNKY performance, but what’s done is done….
Miley Cyrus arriving BBC Radio 1 studios in London

Miley Cyrus showed her see-thru panties and a bit more arriving at BBC Radio 1 studios (imgchili.net)…

Miley Cyrus, The Box Club in London

And a lil’ bit of her furry box in leggy candids arriving at The Box Club in London (hotcelebshome.com).

Not quite the lid off the box just yet, but I’ve a feeling the countdown to a full lower lip slip à la Brit-Brit or LiLo is in it’s last quarter, and Miley’s not worried, defending “We Can’t Stop” video with a swear filled rant claiming that with the world and it’s worries, “that the last thing we should be worrying about is my cute little video” (uk.omg.yahoo.com).

I couldn’t agree more; twerk those oversized teddies all you like, Miley.

Rihanna and Cara Delevingne partied with each other in London

Cara Delevingne partied with new BFF Rihanna after falling out with Rita Ora (uk.omg.yahoo.com).

“Cara, 20, and Rihanna, 25, recently grew close after they partied together on board a yacht in Monte Carlo amid reports that the model was no longer on speaking terms with Rita Ora.”

Oh, yes indeed. I’m sure RiRi was bending over to accommodate her rival’s ex “wifey”.

And they don’t do it budget, blowing £300,000 on super-yacht holiday on the French Riviera (dailymail.co.uk).

Rihanna and Cara Delevingne super-yacht holiday on the French Riviera

Yes, and that’s RiRi tapping Cara’s bikinied bottom in that last piccie. No doubt that must be, or at least aiming to be, making Rita incredably jealous. Oh, my Cara, Rita and RiRi fantasy here will just run on and on!

You can catch more pics here (hawtcelebs.com).

Here’s Rita Ora on day 3 of the T In The Park Festival in Kinross, Scotland (imgcelebs.info)…

And not to be outdone in their one-up(woman)ship, RiRi performed too, waving in her face just what Cara was stap-on banging the previous night (hotcelebshome.com).

Marilyn Monroe negatives to be auctioned with copyright (theartnewspaper.com).

“The inclusion of the copyright is a potential boon for any buyer, who could create a new market by printing and selling limited edition prints. By acquiring the copyright, the owner would also be able to license the images for a fee, and control anyone else’s use of them.”

Detroit bankruptcy puts $2.5 billion city art collection under threat (telegraph.co.uk).

“The venerable Detroit Institute of Arts has retained a leading bankruptcy lawyer amid fears that creditors will demand the sale of pieces by the likes of Van Gogh and Matisse.”

Like us all in this wicked depression, Rodin’s “The Thinker” outside the Detroit Institute of Arts has a lot of hard thinking to do.

“Engaging with death”, Damien Hirst

The Guardian’s Jonathan Jones warns us “don’t lose your head over Hirst”, but actually finds himself coming to the defence of the art “death-star” (guardian.co.uk).

“When Hirst decided in 1991 that this photo of himself was a work of art, he was forcing people to look at death. It was the same year that he put a shark in formaldehyde and entitled it The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living.”

Ewww… where am I troubled over this?

Yep, certainly from the ethical standpoint that it may be recognisable to his relatives but also on a creative issue. Don’t get me wrong, I think Hirst’s pickled shark was as true conceptual art as it gets, but this image when taken was not taken with the intention of making it a work of art and that it later fitted in with Hirst’s project risks being a posteriori argument, which may be fine for us illustrators picking bits out of our sketch“morgue” when a deadline’s looming but I‘m a little more dubious of it in the art-as-idea stake which is conceptual art.

Yeah, that’s what’s troubling me. Still, the “what is art” thing long ago made my thought process crash like an endless Do Loop in QBASIC, which is about my level, which is why I’m just a happy hack tit-illustrator I guess.

GlassUp

Glass wars: is GlassUp a sexier, cheaper Italian take on Google Glass? (digitalartsonline.co.uk).

“… one of the chief differences between Google Glass and the GlassUp eyewear will be in how the device displays data; instead of projecting information onto the edge of the glass from an offset projector, GlassUp will use a dedicated lens embedded in the glass itself.”

Plus you’re looking at a quarter of the projected price and it’s eying to beat Glass out on the high street. I have wondered if the amount of pre-release details and hype could really work in Glass’s favour. Is a patient battle imminent? Is GlassUp in irony Android to Google’s iPad? Is GlassUp actually as ready as claimed? Has The Glass jumped the shark before it launches?
