Mel B wins court order banning ex husband from distributing sex tapes (huffingtonpost.co.uk).
It should be perhaps remembered those that started the sex tapes craze—Paris Hilton’s, Kim K’s and later N-Dubz’s Tulisa Contostavlos’ were all leaked allegedly by former partners with revenge and money making intentions.
“Mel B has successfully blocked her estranged husband, Stephen Belafonte, from distributing sex tapes, according to reports. The former Spice Girl has won a court order banning her ex from selling x-rated videos and pictures of her. … During the court date, Mel’s attorneys asked the judge to force Belafonte to give them access to a storage facility said to contain the items, but the judge has yet to rule on the request. Earlier this week, Belfonte vehemently denied the ‘outrageous’ and ‘unfounded’ allegations of abuse leveled against him by the former Spice Girl in court papers. The 41-year-old singer and TV presenter claimed she was the victim of ‘multiple physical beatings’, and also accused her husband of threatening to destroy her career by releasing a sex tape.”
But it seems its not just her former band mates who were aware of the abuse suffered from husband of almost 10 years:
Sharon Osbourne: “Mel B relationship drama has been brewing for a long time” (msn.com/Cover Media).
“Sharon Osbourne has praised her former work colleague Mel B admitting her marriage troubles had been brewing for ‘a very, very long time’. … Sharon, who worked alongside the singer on Britain’s version of The X Factor, spoke about the allegations on her U.S. chat show The Talk on Wednesday (05Apr17), when she said the situation was ‘mental abuse’ as well as physical and recalled a time when Mel had to take time off The X Factor amid rumours she had been hurt by Stephen.”

“Mel B is not disputing what her former nanny claimed in her defamation lawsuit against the singer—that Mel B, husband Stephen Belafonte and the then-nanny had 3-ways for 7 years … but Mel B says the 2 of them crossed the line. … Mel B claims the deal was broken several years ago when Belafonte and Gilles had sex without her. According to Mel B sources, she claims sometimes they would have 3-ways, but other times Belafonte and Gilles would do it together without her knowledge.”

“The allegations were made today during a hearing in which the former Spice Girl is seeking to maintain a ban on her ex having access to her children. … Pressed by LA Judge Lawrence Piff to explain why Belafonte should not see their five-year-old daughter Madison and Mel’s daughter Angel, the singer’s lawyer Larry Bakman made the astonishing claims. ‘The evidence will show that there are a large number of computers located within the possession of Mr Belafonte which show he is involved in running pornographic sites,’ he said. ‘Mr Belafonte is involved in leading various locations throughout the city. There are money trails.’”
But, then ruled:
“Judge Lawrence Riff ordered that Belafonte could see his five-year-old daughter Madison twice a week at a supervised centre as the couple continue their bitter divorce battle.”

“According to TMZ, Mel B has now been ordered to pay Belafonte $40,000 a month in spousal support, along with a one-time payment of $140,000 for his legal fees. It was reportedly even noted that, based on their respective incomes and expenses, the monthly amount could have gone as high as $65,000.”
Having “asked for $2,000 monthly and $750 monthly for clothing and a phone plan” while broke and has been couch surfing with friends” and “negatively [sic.] publicity surrounding their split has cost him the opportunity to earn $500,000 on a project” (msn.com), I’m sure he will have a lot to say to whomever will pay to air him saying it soon.

And continue to roll on it does:
“Mel B has been accused of intimidating a witness who was prepared to testify against her in her bitter divorce war with Stephen Belafonte, and police have opened a felony investigation. Rapper Siya, who starred in ‘Sisterhood of Hip Hop,’ filed a police report Monday, claiming Mel B sent her texts last Saturday threatening her if Siya dared testify against her … this according to law enforcement sources.”
Siya being prepared to contradict Mel B’s claims, testify about nanny 3-ways, and, *shock*, claim Mel B frequently used illegal drugs, something which obviously makes her conspicuous in rock and pop star company.
“Sources connected to Mel B are calling BS on Siya’s allegation of witness intimidation.”

And to give it all a remarkable Spice World sense of anti-climax, but for their sake perhaps for the better:
“We’re told the 2 have reached an agreement and Mel has withdrawn her domestic violence restraining order against Stephen. The implication … it opens the door for Stephen to see his 6-year-old daughter Madison.”
But still short of a who’s putting what where resolution with nanny-three-ways Lorraine Gilles who claims Mel B “pressured her into having 3-ways with the couple’ although an equally undramatic resolution is close to being reached.

With along with destruction of “compromising videos of Mel”, spousal support for Stephen for the next 3 years, joint legal custody of 6-year-old daughter Madison, and access to family house so Stephen can retrieve personal belongings and likely stuff he claims is more his than hers but will still fetch a good belonged to an ex-Spice Girl price on eBay.
