Whatever’s on my mind really.

A peek at illustration inspiring celebrity sexiness, quirky news stories from inherently pornified pop culture, tips, sketchbook and work in progress, reviews and other things of interest; whatever’s on my mind really—which more fool you if you ever take that seriously.

Latest Picks is a sort of mini-blog for daily thoughts and picks. Longer articles, stories & sketches are found in the full-size blog, where indeed Latest Picks are moved when updates to a story make it too large.

Note: Both Latest Picks and Blog are to be retired at the end of September, although both will remain available indefinitely as an archived part of the site. No further updates to past stories will be made.

Adam West: Batman actor dies, aged 88 (standard.co.uk).

Adam West as Batman
“Adam West, who starred as Batman in the classic camp 1960s TV series has died, aged 88. He died peacefully on Friday night after a ‘short but brave battle with leukaemia’, his family said. … His family said in a statement: ‘Our dad always saw himself as The Bright Knight and aspired to make a positive impact on his fans’ lives.”

Indeed, a “Bright Knight” rather than the vigilante Dark Knight the caped crusader has became: Why is Batman a vigilante? (quora.com).

“Following news of his death, tributes began to pour in for the fan favourite. … Many of those expressing their sadness shared that West's portrayal of the Caped Crusader had been their childhood hero.”
David Williams: “Thank you #AdamWest…”

Indeed, for many baby boomers and Generation X he was the reason they fell in love with superheroes.

James Gunn: “You were the reason I fell in love with superheroes…”
