Tiny wall appears around Donald Trump’s star on Hollywood Walk of Fame (telegraph.co.uk).
“A tiny border wall, complete with US flags, razor wire and ‘keep out’ signs, appeared around Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier this week. Large numbers of amused tourists gathered to photograph the installation after it appeared on Tuesday. It was removed by Wednesday morning.’
The person responsible for erecting the wall was British-born, LA-based street artist Plastic Jesus, who posted an image of his handiwork to Instagram saying: ‘Hollywood sightseers on the famous walk of fame were confronted with an unusual edition to Trump’s Famous Star. Someone had built a 6" tall grey concrete wall around it. Complete with ‘Keep out’ signs and topped with razor wire. The unofficial addition to the iconic star appeared early Tuesday afternoon, to the amusement of onlookers.”
You may recall Plastic Jesus for his opportune un-opportune for Kardashians “no Kardashian parking” signs (Latest Picks 9th Apr. 2015). For sure, a good call made and marvellously done, although perhaps as inspirationally as close to Banksy as two anonymous chaps standing on a soapbox spray painting in masks can get but, is it protest or is it opportunity to move on to No Trump parking signs—which he does seem to be selling there on Instagram—that will likely have no greater impact than they apparently did not having Kim park her bedunk where she wished?
Who am I to call when protest and opportunity become vested interests though, indeed, nearest I get to protesting about anything is that I can’t seem to fit a bigger microphone satirically up Avril Lavigne’s ass.
