Miley Cyrus: ‘I won’t be grabbed without consent’ (bbc.co.uk).
Having been grabbed by the neck by a young somewhat overeager fan attempting to kiss her in Barcelona.
The singer, writing on Twitter, said: “She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent.”
The tweet seemingly as response to some social media users using the age-old laddish into curmudgeonly middle-aged insistence that her lyrics, what she wears and sledgehammer-head licking makes her a deserving target, and presumably the “she” used in the tweet making it applicable to all females rather than Miley having adopted the illeist habit of referring to herself in the 3rd person. The tweet in full being:
“She can be wearing what she wants. She can be a virgin. She can be sleeping with five different people.
“She can be with her husband. She can be with her girlfriend. She can be naked. She CAN’T be grabbed without her consent.”
Later reiterated in her Instagram Stories with a #STILLNOTASKINGFORIT hashtag aiming to suggest that there is no telling what the collective she can’t do and of course that use of force or intimidation is always wrong, but doubtless the collection of “can”’s listed presumably leaving some now eager to assert their feminist right free from patriarchal restraint when eager to have it each and everyway with multiple partners regardless of partners feelings.
Although likely her lyrics and what she wears making her as much a “deserving target” in trolling comment and forum posts, but doubtless some aiming to defend too with ad hominem insults aimed at other middle-aged and senior chaps insistent that “She’d secretly love to be watching US” while still collectively describing pulling themselves off in ManOChat and Chapopolis chatrooms of choice over Miley and Emma Watson pics.
