“Internet activist group Anonymous posted a series of Twitter messages accusing the ‘Fancy’ singer of ‘misappropriating black culture, insulting peaceful protesters and making light of Eric Garner’s death’.”
And so what exactly did the pale Ozzy rappess do to “misappropriate black culture” and “make light of Eric Garner’s death?”
“Azalea … was recently embroiled in an online feud after fellow rapper Azealia Banks accused her of failing to comment on the New York and Ferguson protests, in which Eric Garner and Michael Brown were shot dead by police. Azalea responded, attacking Banks’ ‘piss poor attitude’, but now Anonymous are demanding an apology for her lack of support of the #blacklivesmatter movement.”
I see. And bought to book by likely a pale chap living on the Isle of Mull where there are more sheep that people of any colour who demanded:
“There’s an X rated tape of you, we bet you’d certainly don’t want public, are we right? @IGGYAZALEA....and this is nothing. Comply or else.”
But ruminating after watching another episode of Family Guy and sensing he may have perhaps insulted any female members supporters of Anonymous:
“How are we ‘alienating our feminist supporters’ by calling out a woman that completely degrades and trashes the word? If you call yourself a feminist and end up displaying a racist character, you are not a feminist.”
Obviously concluding that feminism and racism are mutually exclusive but that feminism and intimidation are not, but softening the blow by:
“To reiterate, no sex tape of any kind will be released. Again, we are not in the business of porn. That doesn’t mean we don’t have it.”
But, perhaps recalling that posting revenge porn is now punishable by jail under UK law (Pick of the Week 21st Oct.), that it allegedly depicts the rappess under-age, and that he wasn’t watching it at that moment, rather concluding his frustration over a picture of Emma Watson because, don’t you remember, March saw hacktivism jump the shark with Anonymous hackers leaking documents purporting Emma Watson was going to in for the Fifty Shades of Grey flick after all! (Pick of the Week 19th Mar. 2013).
I guess that calls for a musical break time.
